Tristement, de place il a manqué pour que les clichés des “18 vues de Kyoto” soient retenus dans l’écrémage du jury de la WPO 2017.
C’est donc un ‘almost fail’ qu’auront subis ces clichés pourtant fort pourvus de sens, mais peut-être pas assez “en eux-mêmes” à en juger par les résultats de la compétition.

A voir toutefois cette page concernant les clichés dits recommandés  sur le sujet culture de la compétition dite ouverte. A mon avis, certains des meilleurs clichés sont là. Vous apprécierez ou pas la navigation anti-ergonomique du site fashion-like de WOP qui vous permettra de vite en avoir marre de ne plus savoir où vous en êtes de votre visionnage… et de, hélas, finalement aller voir ailleurs 🙁

Voici donc l’aperçu, certainement critiquable, de ma contribution. J’essayerai de faire moins bien une prochaine fois; des concours, même gratuits, y en a plein 😉

Man troubles ( part of “18 views of Kyoto” 2015)

Those images are part of the 25 photos from the work “18 views of Kyoto” (18 vues de Kyoto) by F.H.P. Lornet.
They’re taken out from series 2 (A temps / On time)  and 3 (META) out of the 3 series ( http://www.lornet-design.com – http://www.lornet-design.net/category/photographie/ ).

These 6 pictures mainly focus on Man ‘initial problem’: Woman and war, through a depiction of contemporary Japan.
It focuses on the need of real communications, as vain as it can be, to banish most extreme social apartheid as well as to keep cultural moves and freedom.
This series shows also the weakness of men, through their futilities, compared to the real need of the humanity to live in peace in a ‘given’ world.
Finally, the signature photo “Pause” is a wish for all mankind to take the time to rethink the vanity of its own existence and try to accomplish its real but still vain aim.
It means: make a pause in the darkness of life.

Those pictures were shot in Kyoto, Japan, in 2015 and published in january 2016 for the first 2 series, december 2016 for the third series.
They are the remains of a 15 years wait to feel how’s life in Japan and a mean to share a different vision of the world.
There was no disappointment: it’s very different, it’s much beautiful, it’s really lovable, but it stays human and has quirks.
