En jazz, on parle beaucoup du growl, surtout vocal. On le trouve facilement identifiable chez Louis Armstrong (exemple: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_GommH5rJ8 ).
Comment traduire growl?
Ce n’est ni un grognement, ni un râle.
